In the UK there is a law known as 'Harper’s Law' which considers police and other civil servant lives as more important than yours. It prescribed a mandatory life sentence for anyone convicted of the death of a a police officer in the line of duty. However if the police cause the death of a civilian, there is no such penalty. Today they have caused "multiple deaths" by recklessly chasing a car near Middlesbrough. What criminal consequences will those responsible face?
