The 2026 Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2, 2026. The event will be smaller and easier to manage, with all venues located close together across the city.

• Sports: 10 sports, including swimming, athletics, basketball, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, judo, lawn bowls, netball, and weightlifting
• Para Sports: Six Para sports with the biggest Para medal program in Commonwealth Games history

Events will take place at famous Glasgow venues such as:

• Scottish Event Campus (SEC)
• Scotstoun Stadium
• Tollcross International Swimming Centre

All venues are within an 8-mile area, making travel easier for athletes and fans.

The opening ceremony will be held indoors for the first time at the OVO Hydro on July 23, 2026.

A ticket ballot for the opening ceremony is now open, and general tickets for sports events will go on sale in early June.
