Murmura and Poha Mixed Chudwa / Chivda (Puffed Rice / Flatten Rice Mixture)

Healthy with zero oil

Every evening, when my dad comes home from work, he likes to snack on something light and non-oily while drinking a cup of hot black tea. His favourite snack was homemade Roasted in mud pot on open fire puffed rice (Borugulu / murmura) and beaten flat rice (atukulu / poha) chudwa made by my mum.

Because my dad enjoys it, my mom always kept a supply on hand. It's crunchy, chewy, and tastes like a party in your mouth 😀. It's fragrant from curry leaves, sour from Lemon salt (నిమ్మ ఉప్పు), and lightly smoky taste from black salt. It's also a perfect after-school snack. I remember emptying bowls after bowls of this mixture.
