Why do people who want to raise money for #charity or a good cause do things that are mostly pointless and useless to wider society? For example, why should I pay you to run around a field for hours when I'd be more inclined to pay you to clean up litter or help elderly people with some chores.
I don't understand why it become acceptable to do a personal challenge and then ask money for it. It's not far from me saying I will clean my whole house if you pay me X amount of money.
