Today I wanted to share some sweet recipe so here it is - PENI RAVA HALWA / EXTRA FINE SEMOLIMA PUDDING - the classic South Indian semolina pudding so easy to prepare and tasty to eat and also most probably the first dessert you learnt to make if you are from the 90s. 😁

I was feeling foolish while taking the pics because I was thinking who doesn't know to make Rava Halwa / Sheera. I think I was wrong - there are budding home chefs and new mommies who need access to failproof easy recipes - so here I am with the recipe for classic Indian dessert that's super indulgent and super easy to make.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Extra Fine Semolina fine
- ¼ cup Ghee
- ⅓ cup Sugar can be increased to ½ cup depending on taste
- ½ cup Milk
- 1 ½ cup Water reduce to 1 cup water for a crumbly texture for sheera
- ¼ teaspoon Cardamom powder
- Saffron (Kesar) few strings
- ¼ cup Mixed nuts chopped, divided (cashews, almonds, pistachios, raisins)
